Falling Gifts

Amazon.com is a giant in the toy world with a huge selection, mountains of inventory, and amazing customer service. They have a blog that features video reviews of the latest and greatest kids toys. It never hurts to read up a bit on the toys and their features before gifting them. That way you can make sure it is what your child actually will have fun with, therefore making your money well spent. Amazon’s toy blog is just another great research tool to further ensure your toy gift will be appreciated. Give them a visit by clicking on any of the headlines below.

[EDIT: 11/17/2008 - Apparently this deal is no longer valid.  Hopefully some of you were able to get in on it.  Look for further online shopping tips and money saving advice soon.]

I’m not sure how long this will continue, but Amazon has a great promotion going on with their toy section.  Purchase $25 in toys from a single seller and get a free magazine subscription to Cookie Magazine or in lieu of that a $15 rebate.  There are some restrictions and additional details posted at the Amazon site.  View them by clicking through the Elmo Live link below and refer to the “Special Offers and Product Promotions” section right under the video.

Early Christmas Shopping 2008

During the next few weeks, be on the lookout for some early Christmas shopping ideas from SavingsForecast.com.  I look to cover all of the site’s major categories and will try to find the best deals, as usual.  I am a parent of 2 young children, so I realize the importance of actually getting a great deal while making your Christmas shopping selections.  There look to be some wonderful bargains shaping up and many retailers have once again planned to use free or discounted shipping for your purchases.  Why go to the mall to fight the crowds, poor selection, and bad attitudes when you can get it direct to your door instead.  Stay tuned.
